Default The Golden Path HDR

I have long admired the golden pile of leaves from the Gingko tree and today I knew I would be driving to an errand where there were piles of them along the side of the road. I wasn't sure how I was going to compose a complete image out of them, but I stopped to try anyway.
My idea was to use the tree, the fire hydrant, and the leaves to draw the eye through the photo, but I decided to introduce myself walking through the frame to add just one more element.

The Golden Path

My tripod wasn't tight so the image wasn't straight and when I went to straighten it, I decided, "why not leave the canvas beneath it exposed?" I also added a vignette to it--first time I have ever done that. Oh, yeah, it is an HDR too.

Thanks for putting up with me!

DO NOT BASH THIS PHOTOGRAPHER JUST BECAUSE THEY SHOT AN IMAGE IN HDR FORMATTING!!!!

I however think this is very nice.
The composition being tilted is a twist, it looks cool and unique.

Hi AlphaBjerke!
Very nice HDR. I am glad you decided to introduce yourself in the shot, the human element (and your red sweater) really add to the picture as a whole.
It is funny, I got a crooked picture some time ago, and same as you decided to leave the canvas exposed just to not crop the picture. Amazingly people seem to like it

Gosh, I like this photo. The part you couldn't have planned but add such a cool element is the sky. Your framing and composition are spot on and your choice to include your self is precisely what your photo needed. You would have had a nice photo of leaves but with you in the photo you have a moody quality and the beginning of a story.

Thanks, Lindy, I forgot to mention the sky and I was definitely fortunate for that. Thanks for your kind words.

Thanks for defending me Dayton! I didn't get bashed yet, so I think you scared the HDR haters away!
