Default Well beyond sunset....last bands of light

DSC_7000

DSC_7030

They got spooked and started to run so the pic did not turn out well but I included it anyways......It was quite dark...I shot the cows 1/3 second at iso 800.....no chance of freezing action.....plus there was a wind up and I was cold and trying not to move the camera too much....had to delete a number due to camera shake...where is a VR lens when I need one?? The prior cow pic is not so sharp either...that's me folks and my cold shaky fingers.....I wasn't planning to shoot anything as I left work later than usual and the sunset was long over...but I wanted the silhouettes

These are great shots. The cows just too cool. But I also like the tree and the barbed wire. I guess that means I like them all. TFS.

Wow. Patrick, these are just wonderful -- I love the bands of color. The second one is my favorite; I'm such a sucker for simplicity. Thanks so much for posting them.

I like them, you captured four good pictures under less than ideal conditions with cold hands, theres many who would struggle with that and few still who would improve on it.
The first two appeal to me more than the cows with the second getting my primary vote by a fence post, nice job Patrick

Sunsets always fair better with something interesting in silhouette. My dad, born in 1906, was probably the last of that breed of American Cowboy that would take his horse, a bedroll and some hard tack and spent a couple of weeks out on the "back 40" mending fences. Your fenceline silhouette shot just made my day as it reminded me of a very gentle man.

Great job on the composition in #2! The colors are gorgeous, too.

Great colors, Patrick. I love the first two. I think the blur works with the cows, especially in the third. Well done, and great commitment in the cold!! TFS
