Default Sonoran Desert at 14mm...and going to Munich!

Hello, fellow DPSers! Just wanted to share a quick pic of our beautiful Sonoran Desert. Also, I needed a reason to post a pic so I could let my European friends know that I'll be in Munich, Germany next week. If anyone is nearby, I'd love to hook up with you and see, and of course photograph, the sights of Munich!!! I know I have a lot of UK-based friends!!!

Thanks for looking!!

Jim, great shot. I like the sky in this one very dramatic with the clouds and sun flares!

Its a beautiful shot and it brings back memories of when I lived in California and would travel over the mountains and camp in the desert. Looks very familiar. Once when camping in the desert I was really quite cold in the morning. I decided that I would get up and make coffee anyway, thinking that I was getting a bit soft. Well, turns out that I walked outside of the tent and found an inch of snow on the ground and jeep.

Fabulous scenery Jim, great perspective and a fantastic sky to accompany it all.

I'm jealous you're going to Munich, I've only been there once but it has a lot to offer. Hope you have a great time!

Great shot Jim. Love the cloud formations in the image. Hope you have a great time in Munich. If you are ever coming to Auckland, NZ, let me know. There are a few of us here in Auckland and the Waikato region that would love to show you around .

Nice lens and nice picture.
I have an 18mm and love the effects I can achieve with big landscapes, beaches and the like.
Yours works extremely well on deserts and I like the results Jim

fantastic shot! I just love the colors, the landscape and that "chaotic cloud composition" in the sky
