Nicely done! An interesting capture and the selective coloring looks great here.

I'm going to assume selective coloring right? Though I've seen similar scenes especially in late fall and winter where you really do see some colorful songbirds pop in front of very bleak backgrounds.

It's a nice shot, especially with a subject that's just generally twitchy to begin with!

Default No PP at all.

First of all Thanks for comments and appreciation.

SoxAddict and TimA: Even when I looked it on my screen it looked like it would be a great contestant for selective colouring but no this is not done by selective colouring. This is as it came out of the camera RAW and converted it to JPEG, reduced the size and placed my Watermark.

TimA: Yes you are right, it was winter in India where this shot was taken (14-Nov-2009) so the leaves are pale brown.

I wanted more focus on the bird with it being sharp but if you watch closely, some of the leaves in the middle of the frame are in focus and not the bird as I wanted.

Thanks
