Default FIRE FIRE!!! Across the river from my house.

We come home from my parents for Thanksgiving dinner and as we exit the Interstate we see a huge glow. As we arrive home, just across the Kanawha river the whole hillside is on fire. It will burn down to the highwall beside the interstate and burn itself out but it was a nice new experience to photograph.

50mm @ 1.8
30Sec exposure

That looks awfully close to the house! I hope no one was hurt! But the shots are great! You really captured it well with thick billows of smoke against a starry sky.

It is actually across a 4 lane interstate and the Kanawha river from any houses. LOL

Wow, that's impressive. I bet it didn't smell very good though.

Yeah as soon as I pulled into our driveway I was like "OHHH OHHH something new to photograph!" as I grabbed the camera out of the backseat and ran into the house to get the tripod and remote shutter release LOL
