Hi everyone
Summer is nearly here in NZ. So here is something to help cheer you all up who are currently heading in to winter. These were taken today on my trip around the Coromandel and surrounding area. These flowers in particular were taken on my VERY brief walk through the Karangahake Gorge today. Hope they bring a smile to your face. Will post more of my journey soon. M

Hi Michelle, I like the perspective of these flowers and thanks for bringing a spot of brightness to the end of my day. As you know it has been very windy here recently which makes it hard to take photos of flowers with them moving about in the wind so it is great to see these beautiful shots.

Ah, yes, I do envy your spring! Here, in north Texas, it's a lackluster autumn with little color which usually leads into a winter which bounces between freezing weather one day and air-conditioner days in the 80's (F) the next and many damp gray days. If it were my choice, we would have only three seasons here: Fall, Winter, Spring! As an example, I remember one year when it was 81 degrees on Christmas eve and people were shopping in shorts; the next year on Christmas it was 18 degrees with an ice coating on everything paralyzing transportation.

Hi Michelle. It's 8 degrees here in UK today, cold, wed and dull. Well, it was until I saw your post. You brightened it up a bit. Cheers. PAUL
