Cool A Nearly Shot of the Moon

The rain stopped, the clouds almost cleared, I got off a couple of shots, went to change the settings to get a better picture and the rain came back on. I thought I would post it anyway.

Nice shot Bill.
I've been working on getting some moon shots also. I don't have a tripod yet so it's been frustrating. Also, I'm using a 28-200mm zoom, which doesn't get close enough for my preference. Oh well, I've got to work with what I have for now.

Tough conditions to make a difficult shot in, but I like the overall effect you captured Bill.
I've yet to get a decent picture of the moon, but I'm going to try again,
and again,
and again

I like it! Wonderful moodiness. I'll look forward to seeing more of your moon photos when the rains clear again. Thanks for sharing it.

I do love the effect too Bill - I love how it's superimposed over the cloud and how you caught it with the great colours beind. I bet you could do some fancy photoedits if you have some software, and do smart stuff with this pic.

Hi, I used my 18-200 lens hand held for this shot. Didn`t get the time to use a tripod. Thank you for comment.

Hi Steve, all the way driving home the moon was so bright, there was a star underneath shining. I thought it was going to be a great picture, then it started to cloud over.

Thank you, hopefully there will be a respite from the rain, this has been the wettest month on record]

Looks so mysterious Bill. Good image for a Sherlock Holmes book or video. Great catch and thanks for sharing it.

Sometimes the nearly shot proves to be a great shot and I think that this is one of those times. I love the effect and mood of it Bill and the hint of colour adds to the interest. I like it Bill but I wish the rain would go away.. lol Thanks for sharing it buddy.

Dave.
