When the West Australian bush erupts into brilliant array of wild flowers in spring one of the predominant colours is yellow - there are many different varieties. One of the best ways to experience WA's wildflowers is on the "everlasting drive" in our mid west. A must for a wild-flower drive or walk is a patient companion!
Tonight I share with you just a few of these brilliant yellow flowers - I hope it will brighten the day for those of you entering winter in the north. This is the Silver Cassia - which I photographed at Camel Soak camping area near Perenjori - a favourite camping site of ours in Spring.
The Goodenia - photographed on the Great Northern Highway between Wubin and Paynes Find.
Podolepis photographed just west of Perenjori.
A field of everlastings spreading through the bush as far as the eye can see at Canna, north of Perenjori.
