Rainbow Splash (White Version)

I did a similar one with a black background, and thought I'd try it on white. I think the concept is good, but I think the paint is a little thin.

Having never seen this on black, I like it better on white. I think that the thin paint doesnt look bad either.

Nice idea...love d'compotition, but with white background, make the pic like over expose...

I think you're right, I need to back off the lighting a bit. My first round was way too bright, so I backed off a stop. Probably need to back off another stop.

Oh, and here's the black one I did a while back:

Rainbow Splash - 18

I was trying to go for the same thing in white, but it's easier to clip the black than it is the white (i.e. underexpose the black parts compared to overexposing the white). Might give this another shot next week when I'm back from vacation.

I think the white one looks more vibrant... and the paint seems to be fine on the white one... But the black one stands out quite a bit as well... great shots...!!!
