In 2007 flooding hit the Oxfordshire area, It had happened a few years before causing simiar damage and distress. This is my tribute to my freinds and local people of the Lake St and VicarageRd area.

Mike these are stunning shots. I hate the sadness that had to happen to allow you to get them, but all emotion aside, the images are typically terrific and B&W is perfect. Adding a light moment to the situation if I may - I love the wellies in the 3rd shot, especially the spotty ones on the lady.
Terrible flooding though, absolutely devastating. My mum was telling me this weekend that pasrts of the UK are getting the worst floods in about 1000 years! I can't even get my mind around that one. My heart goes out to all those who are suffering in any way as a result.

Great shots and sentiments Mike. Just cant imagine the feelings of these folks. Having your home "molested" by an intruder, in this case water. Given thier resilience and ability to tackle it head on, they must have iron constitutions. Thanks for this tribute. PAUL

It's terrible when nature has the power to cause this sort of devastation, however these shots are awesome and suit the B&W mode cheers Steve and thanks for sharing. Love your avetar photo also for this one.

Floods are a terrible thing. I think people underestimate the damage a flood can do...especially when the water stands as long as it does. That aside, these are great b/w shots. Super composition and contrast. Thanks for sharing.
