Default Searching for food

This isn't the best of photos, but I like it. Eye on the prize.

searching for food-1-1

I found this goanna searching for his dinner in the shade of some bushes.

Searching for food-2

and this butterfly couldn't have it's head any further down the flower

Wow Michelle that first one is amazing, you timed it so well. I would have been proud of that one. I hope the guana found his food and those are great shots too and the last one, well the last one is just soooo Beautiful. The colours are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing them Michelle. I enjoyed looking at all of them..

Dave.

Great pictures, the first one is special and I think I would have beaten a hasty retreat from your lizards.

Michelle, these are great! I'm amazed by the first photo and love the colors of the last. We have our share of odd reptiles here in Arizona, but what I really like about your goanna is the sense of alertness your second shot of him communicates. Thanks for sharing them all.

Wow... Michele you really stopped him cold it doesn't look like he had enough altitude to lower the flaps and landing gear in time...but then again he is the bird and I still can't fly...Now its even better ....I just noticed the moth or bug that is about to be his 1st course I like the goanna and the butterfly also Nice work

Thanks Tim, the trouble with them blending in is that you don't see them and they take of so fast they frighten the life out of you.

Thanks Bill, I must that I am very weary of goannas, mainly because they just run so fast when they feel threatened. I just have visions of them trying to scale my legs like a tree trunk .

Yes that's why I like that photo, didn't know I caught the moth until I put the photo on the computer.

Michele, catching the bird in flight is simply an amazing shot and one can see how focused it is. I'm not sure I've ever seen a butterfly that deep into nectar. You have some really nice shots here.

That first may not be perfect, but it is a wonderful photo and catching that type of bird in flight is great work. Love all these here, thanks for sharing.
