Default Blue Hour in Quesnel BC

The other day my mother in law got me a shutterbug mag. I read through it, and enjoyed some of the articles.

Then, I was leaving work one day and the light was awesome! So good I had to stop. I pulled over into a parking lot and let my windows finish defrosting. I clicked a bunch of shots - and made this arrangement.

Blue Hour lasts only about 20 minutes, taking place about half hour after sunset when the sky goes a lovely deep blue and there is still enough atmospheric light to get great skies really easy.

All the shots were hand held (I really need a little gorrilla pod or something) so there is a little bit of blur.

Let me know what you think. You can hit my flickr stream for larger and for the originals in full res.

Wow, these are amazing. Love the deep blue. Looks great against the skyline. TFS.

Thanks. I read about it and then got to apply it within days - it was great. I'm amazed at how well they turned out, and so easily - I'm really learning to enjoy after dark photography.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm printing this one in 8x10 to see how the colour works out in print - I've been having issues transferring from lightroom to anywhere else with my colour space doing funky things - so this experiment should lead me towards what I need to change to fix it.
