Default Each finds its own resting place

Each yellow leaf has found a temporary resting place on its journey to the ground; each one unique!

Yellow leaf: caught in the berries

Yellow leaf: resting on the maple

Resting

Captured

I'd like to dedicate these photos to some very special people, who will likely never see them, my hospice patients and their families. Frank Ostaseski of the Zen Hospice Project advises caregivers of the dying, "Find a resting place in the middle of things." If you are caring for someone you love during this holiday season, these photos are for you as well.

And for all of us, as we enter a busy week of work, may we find the resting places we need.

Helen, I really like the 1st and 3rd shots, nice composition on them. It was nice of you to dedicate these to your patients!

Amen to that Helen. I would like to be leaf No 4. He looks safe and secure. Great words. Great shots, and a boost to the week ahead for anyone. PAUL

Thanks, dvetter. I do love those diagonal lines. The 3rd is my favorite of this set, so a special thanks for your comment on that one. Very minimalistic, isn't it? But I tend to be drawn to simplicity.

Thanks, Paul. I loved the way the pine needles formed a little cup that the leaf just drifted into and fit so perfectly. Glad you liked it too!

these are lovely photos and beautiful thoughts you have attached to them. I have some friends, and friends of friends, who are dying and I can see the analogy between them and the falling autumn leaves. Thank you.
