Default Frosty

I went out this early this morning in attempt to captures some photos of the frost. I took probably 80-90 shots, and not a whole lot turned out. Here are a couple of OK examples. Hoping to learn how to take great photos of frost, so if you have some links or advice, I'd appreciate it!

look fine......macro will get you closer but even if you have one, you have to shoot straight on to get the whole shot in focus....if you shoot at an angle where you have same item as foreground and background, parts of it will be out of focus. If you are not using a macro, shooting wide open with the aperture for close ups will also cause DOF problems if shooting on angle. try setting at f-22 and on a tripod to see if you can get more of your close ups in focus.

These are great Shelley, I like the way the frost is outlining the leaf in the first shot and the second shot looks cold but pretty. I especially like the dof in the last shot. Thanks for braving the frosty weather to capture these great shots to share with us.

Thanks Angela! It wasn't as cold out yesterday morning when I took them as I thought it might be. Still, chilly enough though!
