Default As the sun sets....

There's a rather interesting place out near the Great Salt Lake, that seems to draw a lot of photographers. It's about 3/4 mile east of Saltair (Google it!) along the old highway. There's really nothing out there but an old run down building and an old trolley car. But, every time I drive by there, I see cars parked, and cameras being hauled over the gate. So...a couple weeks ago, as the sun was setting, I took my turn at hopping the fence to see what all the fuss is about! Here's what I captured.

The old building is covered (inside and out) with graffiti I took the shot and applied a little PP work and here is the final result.

The trolley car is tagged on the outside as well, but I liked this shot looking down the length of the old car...

Full moon over the Trolley car...

There was a bride-to-be getting some shots taken by her friends and a photographer. I asked if I could capture them just for fun. Here's one of my favorites... She has grass and mountains in the background behind her...

Ok...the moon is not part of the original shots. I did a little "cropositioning" and poof! There is was!

If y'all like these, I've got several more in my albums online. I'll add them over the next few days.

I bet you're happy you finally stopped and jumped that fence, huh?
wonderful series you got... I really like the full moon over the trolly.
and the grafitti on the building fits perfectly.

Glad you stopped by here Gary. All great shots. That old trolley car is amazing, and I must learn how to do that PP stuff soon. Seeing shots like this is driving me crazy. Can't wait for Part 2. PAUL

Great shots Gary. I really like the first one...it looks like something from the movie "Dusk til Dawn"...

Wow, they're great! Curiosity killed the cat though, you know! Bet you're pleased that you did some fnce hopping though for sure. Gorgeous blue skies too. You're pretty good at your PP stuff, I'd never have been able to add a moon! I can barely upload pics here, for crying out loud! Love the bride shot too, what fabulous lighting. Hope she doesn't have allergies.

Default Great pictures!!!!

Since I live in Tooele, I pass this scene every time I go to Salt Lake for something (which will be later today). Nice capture. The shot with the bride is a good one, I hope you got her permission to use it in your portfolio, and at the very least got her address so you could send her a print.
