Default Lessons and Practice

Howdy DPS ( pls excuse while I shift down to avoid the banner blocking my text heh

I havn't been online much, My real job contines to take up most of my time.. but I have been doing some tutorials and lessons for photoshop, instead of just winging it blindly I've decided to concentrate on actually learning to use it properly.

Although I like graphic arts, I wouldn't say I have a knack for it.. so it takes some work.. first thing I would like to share are a few Logo brushes I've made..

ChromeLogo
I'm still working on getting the real chrome look, but having a brush to stick on my Sig on a photo saves a aot of time and is alot more consistent.

I don't know where I would use this one, but it was fun making it 3D with a shadow and highlight

Logo

the next two photos are just practice for some techniques I've been trying to learn,

PE lesson1
using a " Sunset lighting " preset , I changed a grey boring sky into something slightly better... not crazy about the Red sig on it ( was thinking Bob Ross the painter ) but it didn't work, however it only took 2 seconds to apply.

and this is a family of Geese I shot a while ago,, I also used the artifical sunset lighting preset and then threw it into Corel paint ( cause I need practice with that too )

PE lessons 2

again used a brush I made for the Logo , oh and I used a photoshop frame instead of relying on Flickr's Picnik frames ( which are actually pretty good , but limited )

Just sharing where my current photography time is being spent, lots to learn, and since I havn't been able to get out and get some new shots this is all I got lately.

thanks for taking a look,

Vin

Hi vin, are you going high tech on us????? Nice job on the graphics.

What photoshop are you using? It will take some time to learn a new program. I thought about switching, but didn't want to start over learning how to edit.

it will be interesting to see how you apply your new found skills to your picture sets next year.....I wonder if I will ever be proficient at anything with respect to imaging enhancements.....it is over my head.
