Default 1st Architectural Shoot (HDR-ama)

A client recently invited me to Rocky Point, Mexico to shoot a luxury condo building he had recently built. Rough life. The full set, including some family portraits of the owner, can be seen here

HDR - Six shots at 1 stop intervals from 1/10 to1/320s. f/9.0. Processed using Exposure Blending in Photomatix:

HDR - 3 shots at 1 stop intervals. Processed in Photomatix using Exposure Blending:

A two flash (580 EXII) setup using the white walls as diffusers and high speed sync with a fast shutter to get the detail in the sky and water. I wish I had the skills to do away with the reflections of the linens in the glass in CS3. Something to aspire to, I guess:

Fantastic!

Really crisp, clear images.

You've inspired me to try this process. Thanks for sharing these photos.

DPS party, Rocky Point, Mexico!

If your client ever decides to sell, make sure you sell these shots to the agent for a 'percentage of the gross', not a flat rate.

Beautiful work, the first one especially. That little bit of flare in the fourth is annoying now that you point it out and would be an absolute beach to remove in PP. Changing the flash angles would be my preference. You'll have to go back and re-shoot that one - about a week should do it. I'll pack my bags and come help you.

Wow, I never would have dreamed this was Rocky Point! I've been there many times during the years, usually camping on the beach or staying in a quaint little Mexican hotel, so I've never considered it a luxury destination. Beautiful photos!

I actually dont have the foggiest idea of how to do the setup that would eliminate the flare. The second flash was camera left and the first was on-camera...netier was on the other side of the bed to prevent a specular highlight in the glass. The developer is building more units....so I think I will be going back. Maybe by then I will have deciphered the code.

Thank you for the kind words.
