Default Waiting for the sun

Every morning I get to watch the sunrise but I am always on my way to work and can't really stop to take some shots. Yesterday, even though it was my day to sleep in, I decided to get up and out of the house and actually wait for it. These are just some shots I took at daybreak.

Being hit with first light.

I liked this because of how it was reflecting in the ice on the pond.

Well, if you're gonna get up early, you might as well make it count!

I'm really drawn to that first one - the combination of the deep blue sky and the light on the flowers makes for a really cool photo.

Very nice set.

"Simply Stunning!" I think that's been used before for something else, but it is appropriate here. I love the fourth shot where you can see the angle of the sunrise in the shadow-line on the tree trunks. I loathe being woken by an alarm, but what a reward. TFS.

I don't think I've ever seen such beautiful colors.

All great images. The last one is my favorite of the series.

That is incredibly scenic country you live in.

Great shots, Deb. Never underestimate a talented woman with a camera and a gorgeous sunrise!! I love the 3rd and 4th. Especially the 4th, how the sun is just beginning to highlight the tops of the trees. Thanks for these!!

Not to everyones taste or metabolisim, but theres some quality photo opportunities to be had at first light. I like these Deb, all very good but the colours and light captured in the fourth makes it my winner by a very short head.
