Default Seat and shadow

I shared this before, confessing as I did that I might have been inside the 24 hour limit. That thread has vanished and I can only think that it was deleted for breaking that rule. It would have been nice if the person that deleted it had informed me. I apologise to those who kindly responded to the original thread and have also had their posts deleted.

I humbly offer it again and ask for your thoughts.

I like the feeling of loneliness it gives. Just sitting and waiting.

I love it, JJ. "Somebody please sit on me..." That's a wall hanger. I love the shadow contradicting the lines of the boards. Very nice shot.

I'd be very surprised that the mods actually deleted a post because of it being inside of 24 hours. I've had a couple that were right on the cusp with no problem. You might want to send them a PM.

Yes, that's part of the attraction of the shot for me too. There was a whole fair going on only a few metres from this shot, but nobody but me was out in this area.

snip.
Thanks, Jim. Yes, I think this one might be blocked or maybe a very thin plain frame. And perhaps a discreet little price tag and hang it over in the complex where I shot it? Couldn't hurt.

Love the lines. Very strong indeed.

Agree that that one is a hanger!

NIce composition. The lines of the nails on the board walk draw me up to the bench calling for someone to have a seat.

deleted for breaking that rule.

Been there, and it is a pity because its a good picture. The good news is I didn't see it first time around, so I'm glad it's been reposted.
I like it Jim, it's simple, there are only fews complimentary colours, very strong lines, and excellent light and shadow. I can see this hanging in many different commercial and other professional environments

Yes, this one's all about lines. When I first looked at the scene through the viewfinder I thought there were too many directions of lines with the planks (seat and deck), holes, nails and shadow line. I'm glad I shot it anyway; it has grown on me.

Thanks. I did wash out the colours just a little. I thought of selectively leaving the blue of the steel frame a lot brighter... decided not to.

I love the way this is so simple and clean and straightforward. The lines are wonderful and the washed out colors are perfect! For me, a very appealing photo.
