Default In need of water

This is a picture of the ground at the bottom of my yard. I think we need some rain. These cracks are getting wider and deeper, I'm going to lose the dog in one soon (well not really but it feels like I could)

summer-2

This mob of kangaroos had found a puddle of water on the edge of the cricket grounds, they are all over the place at the moment, they only come into town when water is scarce.

summer-3

cute baby

summer-4

Now one of the good things about summer, MANGO'S.
can't stop and smile, eating.

This is a great set of pictures. I love the last shot of mango consumption. The kangaroo shot is also cool. Interesting subject though...lack of water. I posted a picture that showed right above yours at time of posting. Its called "Into the Rain." We should get our weathers together to moderate both. Have a grate day.

Is this normal Michele, or is it to be blamed on global warming, in any event I hope you get some rain soon and return to the status quo.
Your pictures though are excellent, reporting in detail the effects of the the water shortages, and cute they maybe, I'm guessing that kangaroos are not that welcome in townships.
Thank good goodness for the final one, your grandaughter looks adorable, even with her mouth full of mango.

Thanks Dave I would love to have some of your rain, send it over.We have kangaroos all over town at the moment, anywhere there is water they can get to. I have noticed them on the cricket fields for a few weeks now, and my mango eater, she would eat them morning, noon and night if she where allowed.

Yes, yours was the first post I looked at, all that RAIN. We should definitely see if we could manage the weather, even things out a bit.

Well Steve, Roma is a dry place, we normally have about 24 inches a year, but this time of the year there are normally storms which make everything green, and this year the storms are not raining on us they are all going towards the coast before letting out their moisture. Rain is predicted for the end of next week, so I hope some of it falls here. The kangaroos are no problem in town, the minute it does rain they will be gone. Just so long as they stay away from the front of my car when I'm traveling. You have no idea how much damage one little kangaroo can do to your car.

All creatures need to get along & share space & resources sometimes. The little joey peeking out of mom's pouch is cute, but the kid is even cuter!
