What mountains?? In 1970, while I was in the Army, freshly married, (bless my wife) I had some money saved up and paid $999 for a 1970 Kawasaki 500 3 cylinder 2-cycle motorcycle, the fastest production bike on the planet at that time. What a thrill, but how far they have come since then. It could be unstable at high speed. I had it wobble and jump over a couple of lanes more than once at 100mph when cornering. Oh well, you're only young once, and I'm glad I made it this far. If I were to buy one today, yours is probably the one I would want! enjoy!

Sorry for the late reply Mike. Yeah, Kawasaki have always been speed merchants. I don't recollect your model here, but I remember the 900 cc in the 70's. A monster. I have had 155mph on this on a track. Stuck to the road like glue. Thanks for taking a look my friend. PAUL

Hey, Paul. I bought the 900 in 1975. It was $1495, and it was a monster! It was also my second car. It too, could get a little wobbly, though. I put about 50,000 miles on both bikes.

As a Staff Nurse at that time, on minimal income with two kids under 2, I could not afford anything like that but I used to drool over that 900 man. It was so sleek.
