Default Last soldier off the field...

I went to get some shots of the new fountain here on the post today and after I finished I headed over to the headquarters building which is at the end of the parade field. While Out there I noticed this one lone soldier in the middle of the immaculately manicured lawn. I just couldn't resist so I thought I would share.

Thank you all. One of the things I appreciate/love about being back on the east coast is the amazing military history of our great nation. Whenever I'm on that part of the post and walking either on or around that parade field I can still feel the anticipation of the nearly 4 million men (yes that's million) who have stood on those grounds as they prepared to head to Baltimore Harbor and ship out to Europe to take their place amongst others during world wars I & II.

To me that lone dandelion seemed symbolic of so many things that is represented by that parade field. Thanks for the comments I appreciate it.

I think what I love most about this is the sky -- such beautiful colors in that bokeh.
