Default Fire Pit

These are from a father/kid camp out last weekend. We had great weather and a great time.

Traditional take on a fire shot:

Playing with a longer exposure:

Fire Pit 2

Another long exposure:

Fire Pit 3

Thanks for looking.

Wow, Chip, nice series! It looks like the fire turned into a raging inferno with the longer exposures. Well done.

First shot is my fave. There is something about flames and their colour that makes me want to sit and stare at them for hours. I think its the way the flames dance in a seductive way blending oranges and yellows together.

Do I smell S'Mores? I thought so. Kate is so fortunate to have you for her dad. Pre-teen girls can be pretty abstract. Good thing you know how! Lovely, rich images made all the more interesting by the instant triggering of the fragrance of slightly burnt marshmellows.
