Default My Drive to Work

I live about an hour outside of Denver and leave for work each morning just before sunrise. I get some of the most amazing views of the sunrise.

Sorry about the quality of these. There are all taken from a moving vehicle.

The sun just peeking over the pass.

Wow Deb these are absolutely beautiful and the second one is outstanding. Talk about timed to perfection. That one is wall hanger for sure. Thank you Deb. My day just got a whole lot better for seeing these.

Dave.

I remember this view from a late snow storm photo last year. It must be a glorious way to start a day! I appreciate the drama in this set, moving from hint to full revelation. Your backwards glance, however, deeply resonates, a kind of leaving your heart behind....but just for some hours...until you can reclaim it again at day's end. Do you find mountains anchoring? I lived away from them once and I felt lost every day.

winter sure comes early for you doesn't it? That would be great to see sunrises regularly.....great plays of light across the hills and valleys.

Dave.
Some times timing is everything. Actually I scout out the view the day before, take note of the sun and the time it is, and try to remember it the next day.

Thanks Linda. The mountains has stolen my heart. Some times I think about going some place warmer but then I have a glorious day in the mountains and those thoughts leave until the next storm.

I was surprised when I uploaded that shot because I don't think I ever noticed the words on the mirror either. And I have had that truck for several years!

Thanks Patrick. We have had snow for several months now. One year I kept track and we had measurable snow for 10 months out of the year. Granted, it didn't stay long but 10 months none the less.

Always have one hand on the wheel. When you come to Denver, let me know. I'll show you the mountains.
