hmmn..my vote goes to the first..the sepia gave it a moody and dated feel to it..i always love church photos..tnx for sharing..

I'll vote for the first one. Generally I like color better than sepia, but what I really like about this first one is the way the portrait orientation emphasizes the vertical of the church spire, and keeps my eye going up. Very nicely done!

Another vote for the sepia shot here, but I think it's the orientation and composition rather than the colour treatment that wins it for me.

Churches here in Aus don't seem to have spires. I miss them

If anyone has a photo of the church in (I think) Derby - the one with the twisted spire - you'd make my day

EDIT: Found one, but it was in Chesterfield, not Derby (thanks google)



Sorry to hijack your thread Glyn, but you brought back some memories of the journey across the Pennines to uni nearly 20years ago!!
