Default I was just playing

I was playing around with a screw on close-up filter, I'm not very impressed and I think it might go in the draw. But I thought these photos were worth sharing. It wasn't a good day for the moth.

Hi Michele, I like these and do stick with the filter. I have a set and don't use them very often but they're invaluable when the time comes. I think its the exteme shortness of field that sometimes puts people off them, anyway.
Excellent images especially the two ladybird pictures where the contrating colours work particualrly well

Thankyou Steve, you are right, there is only the smallest of windows for getting something in focus, on the other hand they give me the magnification I want when taking small insects. Maybe a bit more playing. I think they will be useful if I every need a very soft look.

Thankyou Moi, I like ladybirds too, I didn't realize they were so difficult to photograph they will not stay still.

Oh, I like these! Especially the last one -- the colors are wonderful. Thanks for sharing them.

Michele, Golly, I have missed so many posts in this past month. I just spent a little time looking at few recent threads of yours. How much I identify with waiting for rain. Seeing how dry things look made my heart sink. That was several days ago so I'm hoping rain has come your way. The grands swimming was pure pleasure! As are these shots. The ladybugs, in particular, are just amazing. So nice to see your work again.

Awwww they are beautiful Michelle. The colours are stunning in all of them and the softness in the background adds so much to them.. I love them all Michelle.

Dave.

Really nice, Michelle. I especially like the two ladybugs, with the one on the dead bloom really striking my favor.

Oh but they're lovely! Those colours and softness effects, beautiful! The first is my absolute favourite.
