Default Down to the wire

Well, I figured that the window of opportunity for getting some of Autumn's rich color on record for 2009 was swiftly closing. So before the leaves are all brown, crunchy and fallen, here is my go at it... Thanks for looking!

Abstract Berries
I almost deleted this shot immediately after taking it. I blew out the sky and underexposed the intended subject. I played around with the blacks and curves a bit and came up with this odd shot. I have no idea if it is any good, but I found it interesting.

Maple Turning

This is a maple down the street from me. 3 days ago it had almost all of its leaves. Today most of them are in the next picture and the tree is mostly bare.

Autumnal Advance

Here are said leaves from the previous shot's tree

Yellow Maple

And now for something that isn't red

Thanks Rob, this one was actually from a sapling that was clinging furiously to the leaves it had fought so hard to grow in the summer.

Thanks Fred! It took some time to get the focus on the leaf's edge. The bugger wouldn't stay put!

Thank you! For me, it is definitely sad but also exciting at the prospect of what winter has to offer.

Sometimes an accident has a happy outcome, like your first shot. All of these are good. I think the fourth might be my favorite.
