Would love to know what you think of my new editing technique. Basically its using curves, but instead of the usual s shape...try making a W shape. Then using hue/sat layer, play around with that too for an exterme colour contrast.
I have done quite a few of these and they are on my Flickr: miacat63's Photostream site if you care to see some more.

Thanks for your comment, I am not very skilled using PSE6 yet...but love trying new techniques. This one is so easy. Duplicate image, bring up curves, then instead of the usual subtle S shape...try making a W instead. It does all sorts of weird stuff to the colours and contasts...then when happy with the change, make another new layer, hue/sat adjustment and play with the hue and saturation sliders. Takes less than a few minutes. Would be interesting to see others examples of using this technique too.

Wow, this is way beyond my technical ability, and even a bit beyond my imagination. But somehow I really like it. Thanks for sharing what you're doing!

This is pretty nice, but I would love to see the natural shot...it looks to be awesome.
