Cathedral of the Madeleine II
The Cathedral of the Madeleine was started in 1900 and completed in 1909. The outside is designed in a more or less Neo-Romanesque style. The interior tends toward Neo-Gothic.
The cathedral was extensively renovated and restored in the early 1990s. It was rededicated on 21 Feb 1993.     This is a follow up to My Previous Cathedral of the Madeleine Set Last edited by emanhaud; 11-18-2009 at 02:09 PM. |

I love the colors.A bonus is the reflection of the colored glass as the sun shined on the glass and reflected it on the wall.

Thanks all! I love this building. I was really lucky to be there when the light from the stained glass window was shining on the mural.
