A few weeks ago I worked with SIM agency model Laura for a few lifestyle images at the Orange Patch in Mesa, Arizona. Hope you enjoy these samples and you can find the full series on my blog.

Thanks for the comments and compliments all.
As to your question FoG - direction can definitely be one of the harder elements of people photography. At the end of the day it comes down to one question: "What are you trying to convey with your images?" When I set up a photo session I'm not looking to go out and just take portraits of pretty girls. I'm using them to help set a clear progression through my images and either sell a product (clothing, fragrance, etc) or a "lifestyle" with the emotions generated from them. If you're just going out to test shoot, set yourself a client and a product. From there ask who is their target audience, what do they like, how are these images going to impact them? That's broader direction. As to the smaller direction (moving a hand, leg, etc) that simply comes down to practice. Eventually your eye starts to recognize when you're chopping a limb off or the light strikes their face in the wrong way. Also, agency models work hard on their looks, so sometimes it's just sitting back and letting them do their thing, while keeping the overall shoot goal in mind. But this all sounds like material for a new blog post now...
