Default hummingbirds and seagulls

I was in my backyard today to try and shoot a hawk that was flying around and this little hummingbird was flitting around. I didn't have time to change my settings, because they never stay long, but I got a couple of decent shots....

Hovering

looks like he's peeking at me...

I see you

My daughter was feeding these gulls french fries

I love the intensity on his face

Give it to me now

This could be sharper, but I liked the rim light on his wings and head

In Coming

The whole set is wonderful. I love the hummingbirds. I have been trying for the longest time to capture them, but they are like busy little bees....great set.

Nice shots, fbroschart! I love that seagull. Great pose! Cool hummingbird, too. You definitely got a lot closer than I did with my shot! TFS

Beautiful set of shots, love that first hummingbird shot and the gull on the ground that looks like it's begging for food.
