Default oh the joy of being young and playing in mud!

My posts tonight are entirely different to my normal flowers and scenery shots.........they are of some little friends playing in the mud at a dragon boat regatta I was competing in at the weekend. These little boys are children of our team members - and they spend the day quite happily playing in the mud and making mud castles at the edge of the course in front of our tent.

I took these with my longer lens so I wasn't intrusive and they were unaware they were having their photos taken. I like the natural look and capturing them absorbed in their play. What do you think of the results? I look forward to your comments.

These are great shots, Jill. You certainly captured them in the act of just being and having fun.

Mud, water and kids. A recipe for fun if ever there was one. Wish this big kid could've joined in. Thanks for a cheery post on this dull and rainy UK day. It brightened me up. PAUL

I have seen so many beautiful black and white photos - especially of people - on DPS that I decided to change this first photo to black and white......... or do you think the colour is better?
