Default Te Waihou Walkway - Putaruru, NZ

Went to Putaruru on Saturday. Got told about the Te Waihou walkway. Alas, I only had on my budget Warehouse Crocs on my feet. We went in the back end of the walk and what the lady at the information centre had said was absolutely true. It is the most awesome place I have been to yet and it is one of the very few places that has water so crystal clear and pure. I WILL return and do the whole walk.

Hope you like.

The only PP that has been done is the black border and the writing down the bottom. Used a UV filter on camera.

Wow, Michelle, what an amazing place. The color of the water--the clarity of the water--are astounding. The contrast with the green is equally beautiful. Great photos! So refreshing to the eyes.

Like? Absolutely fantastic - they could have been made in stained glass. Beautiful composition and colours. Will put this place on my "bucket list"!

Wow Michelle you have captured my favourite walking place brilliantly. I have taken several photos of the water but none have turned out this great, I am getting myself a UV filter. The back end is the better end in my opinion, we always walk halfway and then turn back.

Thanks Angela. Yeah, we only walked to the pump shed, then to the end of the wooden "bridge" to where it started to go up a steep hill/path. Will walk futher next time and will bring more appropriate footwear!

What beautiful, crystal clear water. Love the combinations of the blue, green, and pink
