Default On the Rocks

Just playing with B/W conversions on a rainy gray November day. I'm not sure I like the second one, really, but I think there is something interesting about the textures and contrasts.

I thought you were taking drinks orders Martha ;-)

Beautiful images, they're perfect for B&W. Lovely, different textures too.

The first shot shows that more effectively than the 2nd. My eye was taken right to the bubbles on top of the water and then up to the textured surface of rock. I would love to be up on a beach somewhere taking shots like this

I love the first one, M. Huge range of monotone colors. Good comp...with the gritty sand in the foreground, and silky water in the back. TFS!!

Your first shot is great. I love the contrast. Back in the day we would say it was "in the zone".

Texture, focus, balance, gentle water movement, depth and contrast. Yes, it's Mr Different again. I'm going for No 2. Love them both Martha, but for me 2 has it all. Thanks. PAUL

Nothing much to add the all the above... exept that I can almost see the bubbles pop in the first one, and the second one make me feel like dipping my feet into the water... These two ROCK, Martha! TFS.
