I've been having great fun with my new 100mm macro lens that arrived a few weeks back. I've been lucky enough to be able to borrow a 250D screw in close up filter and a MR14-EX macro ring light to add to the macrolicious fun too.
"What am I ?" is a series of 10 shots I have planned, of everyday objects, natural or manmade, that people have to guess what they are. The strange angles, very low DOF make this more of a challenge than you may think !! This is the second shot in the series, and is somewhat easier to guess than the first. The first shot in the series is at this link. http://www.flickr.com/photos/marklan...7616539768366/

I told you this one was relatively easy. FoG is right. It's a pine cone. It's been in a basket in our dining room fireplace for years, is very dry, and probably a little belached, which Is why I think it's so light.
