Default Bahrain invading Wellington, New Zealand

Yes it is true as tomorrow night it is the final soccer/football game between Bahrain & New Zealand All Whites that will determine who will qualify for the World Cup. No it is not the All Blacks as they are currently in Italy and about the play the Italian Rugby team.

Today I wandered down town and here they were, you could hear them chanting and singing away in Midland Park. Here are four shots but you can see more in my set on Flickr Bahrain Supporters - All Whites - a set on Flickr They are a very excited about winning the game but they will be out numbered in the stadium which has a sellout crowd - this will be the biggest crowd at a soccer match ever in NZ.

Sorry but I will upload the second set of Richmond gardens tomorrow. Cheers, Bernz

Interesting street scenes before a great multi-cultural event. I've been to a few of the US games here in the states. Try going to see the US play Argentina in Miami. Might as well have been in Buenos Aires, but a lot of fun nonetheless. Good luck to the All Whites!!!

Thanks Mike - should be a good game - it is cold and windy today so lets hope that helps the All Whites. Kickoff in 4.5 hrs!!! Cheers, Bernz

Was thinking I was going to be seeing a photo of the first ever A340 landing in Wellington but still was not disappointed with the shots you have submitted ... nice colourful capture
