these are lovely photos. There is a "Madeline" Cathedral in Paris too which I visited when we were there in 2005. I brought back with me from France a lot of photos from inside cathedrals, stain glass windows, ceilings etc. Awesome to be within this old architecture and lovely to photograph when you are from a "new" country like Australia!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Jill, I have always loved this building because it is one of the few places that does seem old. I also live in a young country (at least where I live). This building was actually started in 1900 and not completed until 1909. So it is also young, at least compared to the cathedrals in Europe. "I speak in math", I have tried to straighten a few of these photos since your feed back. I think I have improved them at least somewhat, but I wonder if I have my head on straight because a can never seem to get it quite right. I lined them up using the grid in Aperture, but think they might still be a little off.
