Default Crazy seasons we've been having.

This is my view from my front yard.

I took this picture in June because it was so wrong, nice but wrong. June is usually very dry so the landscape is dry and any green that might have been there is burnt off by the frosts.

Different seasons.-2

I took this picture yesterday to show you how dry it is here at the moment. Usually this time of the year everything is green from afternoon storms but we haven't had any and the two that have come over dropped only enough water to put that slight tinge of green in the grass.

Different seasons.-1

This photo I took January 08 the last time we had any rain worth talking about. (sorry about the post in the middle, my photography has come a long way since January 08) Sometimes nature can overdo it.

Different Seasons-1

Our Spring is usually short because it gets hot quickly but this year there has been none. I was waiting for the flowers and the insects to photograph but they have been few and far between. Every night I look to the horizon for an electrical storm so I can take my first picture of lightening but I'm still waiting.......

Oh your poor front yard... I hope you get some rain so that the green comes back.
I really like seeing the changes in nature in other locations.
Our weather here has been on the strange side too... we had a flash flood warning for yesterday... it rained a bit (not enought to say flash flood)... then today- beautiful skies... barely any clouds... then when we came home this afternoon... it pours!
Thanks for sharing these!

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get some rain. If it will help, I can mail you some snow.

I'm familiar with no rain...I like the first pic when it's green, something we don't see too much of here.

I like the pictures of the differences in the seasons. I love what the rain does to our landscaping. I live in So. California and it is supposed to rain, but probably not, but I sort of live in a desert. Trudi

When I was a child the seasons always seemed to be the same, at three o'clock in the afternoon when school finished, it rained. It just doesn't seem to be the same anymore.

Thanks equilution, it is a great view and we live no more than a kilometer from the centre of town.

It can get a bit depressing at times, although when it is raining for days it doesn't take long to get sick of it and long for blue skies again.

I'm supposed to be living in "champaign cattle country" so we should be having more rain than what we have been getting.

Michele, I enjoyed your shots and I hope the rain soon arrives. Weather everywhere seems to be changing, I've lived here for twelve years now and only saw one thunderstorm on land. Most of the time they are out to sea and bypass us, for the past few weeks we're having them daily in my area.
