Default New here. Sharing a few personal favorites.

I got my first ever DSLR about a month ago (actually a month ago tomorrow!) Ordered the B&H essentials kit for the new Nikon D3000. So far, so good. Been experimenting a good bit, trying to take pictures whenever I get the chance.

These are just a few of my favorites that I've taken so far. I've taken nearly 1,000 pictures since I got it.

(And yes, the first one is a five-leaf clover. Lucky me!)

EDIT: Added the fourth picture I meant to add earlier.

WELCOME to DPS
The problem with the number of shots could be the size? I don't know, just guessing...I think they are supposed to be smaller.
Anyway, these shots are awesome....beautiful DOF on the first two...beautiful composition on the second. I also love the lighting on the third. Very well done.

Welcome to DPS, Cojaro! You've done well with your first 1000 shots!! These are large. The mods require you paste the medium size from Flickr.

Interestingly enough, the little smiley faces in the text are counted as "images" too!

Thanks for sharing!!

I suppose I'll have to get a Flickr account, then. What size is the medium Flickr format?
And darn those little smilies!

Lovely shots! And welcome. You'll have to add your 5-leafed clover to our "Day 5" thread on Friday ;-)

You can have a maximum of 740 pixels on the longer side of the image.
Very nice shots. I like the DoF and the perspective. Which lens did you use for these pictures? TFS.

Nikkor 18-55mm VR. Just a kit lens, nothing fancy.

Since you are using Photobucket I cannot change the size for you. We'll need for you to edit your post with smaller size images please and thank you
