Default Remembrance Day

Hi, This is the first time I have posted in this section and only the 2nd time I have posted so go easy lol.
I took this photo in a small town called Bridgnorth,UK, I just so happened upon this lovely poppy all on its own and had to take the photo.

I thought it was fitting for todays date.

It is SOC by the way and probably not the best but I liked it enough to share, Thanks Ukglyn for giving me the courage to post x

Welcome to DPS! I really like this one. I can remember as a child people giving out paper poppies at the grocery store to stick in lapels. That's how I remember veterans day still. It's a shame that's a tradition that's long since gone.

The politician tells the people you've got to have an army
And the soldier tells the writer the pen is mightier than the sword,
But sticks and stones can break my bones and words will never harm me
Said the poet and the writer to the soldier with his words.

To fallen freinds and heroes

Welcome to DPS brummiebird, good post
