Nice job. I will be doing my first newborn shoot this coming Sunday. I am both excited and anxious. I am trying to draw in ideas alongside the ones I already have in my head. It's actually going to be a newborn/christmas photo shoot. Mom wants the announcements to be christmas cards too. I too have just an Nikon D40 with the original 18-55 lens. I just bought studio equipment set-up (lights, backdrops, stands), that will be in tomorrow. Can't wait to get that and try it out before the shoot Sunday.

AWWW....love these shots. Love the toes shot a lot. I want to try these on my babies when i get home! loved the photos here.

thanx so much for the comment... and have fun with ur photo shoot.. i had a blast... the mom is my best friend so it was fun.. the only thing i have to say is watch out for the lil leaks... she peed all over her blanket.... and she got cold, she is only one week old... where di du get all ur set up? if u dont mind me asking.. was it a big amount to dish out? i need to get some lights, not to worried about the back drops... but need the lights.. that is what every one is commenting on over in the other place i posted my pix...
