Default A Willing Model for My New (Old) Toy

I spent $100 and got an old Nikon 300mm from B&H and it finally came. Yeay! I know it's not fancy, it's manual focus and it's a tank, but I have a soft spot for those old lenses. Only had a chance to fire off a few shots while waiting for the school bus, and I need to work on the focusing a bit, but I had to share

You don't need too much work. The pics of the little girl are sweet. TFS.

Could be the bargain of the year Martha, three quality pictures as you start to get used to your new tank and I like them all.
The second is my favourite because its close up and intimate with excellent b/w editing, and for what its worth, I have a similar 300mm tank, and isn't it good to be able to call on the heavy artillery now and again

Very pretty, and I especially enjoy the second one. The light and comp (and model) are great.

I like the old manual lenses, too. Glad you like yours so far.

Nicely done, Martha!! $100 well spent!!! As about as clear and crisp as its newer $3K descendent! I knew I'd see some quality like that!!

Bargain of the day for sure! I have a soft spot for old lenses, too since that's all I ever had before my present camera. Never knew the pleasure of auto focus before. Enjoy your newly acquired vintage lens. I know you'll do miracles with it.
