Beautiful. Excellent angle, and the background makes the subject stand out.

Nice downy pic... the hole looks almost complete.. but is that blue sky peaking thru? The hole to nowhere?

I Thought the same thing about the blue sky coming through and is that a clabboard wall?

---Thanks for the comments everyone. I wanted to post the largest image but apparently it does not offer the best veiwing for some of the members.
---This woodpecker is working on his second attempt at hammering through the wall of this building. The blue is not sky but part of the building structure. You would think it would get the message LOL.

Thanks again and I wonder if woodpeckers get headaches ??
