Default High School Football

Ok, so here's my first attempt at sports photography at my old high school's semi-final game.

Any feedback would definitely be helpful, since I want to try and do more of this.
Thanks!

(There's also more photos on my flickr as well)

Not bad for your first attempt (better than mine). Sports photos are a little harder than most, all I can say is practice makes perfect. I would try a shallower DoF for starters.

Thanks!, i'm using a d90 and pretty much shot the whole time with a 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR lens.

its too bad that the season is over now.

... on my 70-300mm lens, the max i could go was f/5.6, i tried to get closer but those crazy parents at the game want/need the closest sideline spot lol
