Default Flinging Paint

My Computer room had been transformed into the "Photography Editing Room " and right now it smells of Oil Paints and Turpentine because I've been playing around with Corel paint again. with a surprize creation at the end !!!

It's fun to transform photos, but people are challanging to make look like a painting and not just some really bad post processing in photoshop.. So here's a little girl done with some really old school style oil paint.

Flowergirl-painted

I've obviously still have to work on it, but I always share what I'm doing and there is something there, I just have to figure it out lol

Here's an old house, done in watercolors and a little acrylic, I worked quite a bit on this one and I like the bright colors and the shape of the house.

Old House Painted

ok, I mentioned a surprize

Now this has been a labor of love, quite a bit of manipulation and took forever to brush it out, it's not perfect ( the compostion drove me crazy and I finally just gave up ), but it really had help me realize possiblites. So I give me my beloved Osprey

Ospreypainting1

What great fun, am happy share my current project with you all, I hope some of you can appreciate the painted style, I was never able to color in the lines, so for me this is really cool stuff.

thanks for taking a look

Vin

I'm not generally a fan of the technique, but you've done it very well. I had to re-read your post to determine if these were scanned/photographed paintings or heavily modified photos. Nicely done.

Wow, very interesting. If I hadn't read what you wrote, I would have thought those were pictures of paintings. The brush strokes on the girl are very interesting, but I think the house works the best. The colors and lighting are just right.

Looks like you're having a lot of fun with this! My favorite of the three is the house...that's just cool!

Really creative post work, Vin. I especially love the one of the house. It's so fluid, and the colors just make it come alive. The Osprey are wonderful as well. You must have put quite a lot of time into these. Well done.

Thanks very much Rick, that's exactly the point-make them into paintings and it's alot harder to do then it might seem. I'm really glad you like them and appreciate your comment,

Thanks Mike.. I've been trying to get better at post work and I need to have stuff to work on as I learn and grow ( I learn best by just doing ) and I agree the house came out the best, but I side with the Osprey ( cause you know how I am about them ) thanks for your comment Buddy

Thanks much Martha.. this type of editing is all about the brush strokes, very time consuming to say the least, but it's fun.. I'm really glad you like them.

Thanks Susan.. it is alot of fun, but it takes sooo much time.. I agree the house came out the best for overall effect... but the Osprey is combined from 4 photos and a whole lot of cloning , re-sizing and blending..so I agree the house came out the best, but I choose the Osprey just because ! lol

Thanks Leona .. I do listen to rock when I'm working on editing .. but WindRider Rocks in this stuff, I'm just a rookie ( I appreciate the compliment regardless ) ..I'm glad you like them and thanks for another kind comment.

Thanks very much Aimee .. this kinda stuff looks like it might be easy, but in reality to make them look real and not a botched photo can be difficult, I am learning and sharing as I go ... and thanks for including the Osprey it was twice the work of the two others combined.. I really appreciate your encouraging comment.

Thanks everyone for taking a look and leaving a word.. Paint conversions aren't something photograhers really pay attention to, but I enjoy exploring different Aspects of the craft and I always share what I'm working on

Cool effects. I like the house very much, but I like #3 a lot too. You really have this pp business end down very well.

I will just say "Wow"! I have a love for old houses, so that is my favorite. They each are well done. I have a lot to learn.
