EDIT: I had to delete the photos from Flickr because of some jackass that stole them and posted them on her blog. The story is here if you want to read it. Freakin' people!!!! LOL
My gorgeous niece asked me to come shoot her horse show today. Here are few...bright sun at high noon did NOT make for an easy shoot, LOL! I've never done a shoot quite like this before and it was definitely a challenge, but I loved every second of it (well, until her horse tried to eat my camera). As always, thanks for looking. Sarah, my lovely 11-year old niece (and I didn't touch her eyes in PP, they really are that amazing!) ![]() ![]() ![]() And after the show...by the way, she won two 3rd places, a 5th, and a 1st.

Great shots in that lighting, Susan! Funny that you mentioned her eyes! I was immediately drawn to them in amazement...before I even read your commentary! Lovely! ...and I really love the last one! That's a "forever" piece!!
Thanks for sharing! Jim PS...good thing the horse didn't eat your gear...I hear they're Canon-intolerant!!

Georgeous shots, and you're right about your niece's eyes - stunning.
Remember that if a horse breaks a Can(n)on, they shoot it!

NIce shots! My daughter used to ride English Dressage, before Western gaming.......Those events are fun to shoot. I miss them. Great portraits! I love the lines of the wooded paddocks in the background.
