Default 1st attempt at fireworks

Went to my son's school firework display tonight. Used my new cable release. I've never photographed fireworks before or used a cable release or even used "manual settings". I feel that I have achieved something tonight.

Enjoy!

Rachael; Rachael; Rachael. These are so cooooool. Come on girl, underneath you have got to be so proud of yourself here. I know I would be over the moon with these. I can see I am going to have to put more effort in to keep up with you, or as my school reports always used to say "Must do better". Thanks for these girl. PAUL

Thanks for the replies guys!! I have emailed the school a selection of pics so that "hopefully" they can use some on their website. Anything to get my name into the mix!

Normally they get people from the local press involved in things like this as in the school newsletter it said of one photographer was "Andover's No1 photographer". I was thinking no I am

Preacherman - Funny you should mention school reports mine always said words to the effect of "Rachel is a very silly girl who hasn't worked very hard this year". Nah phooey!!

Rachel, these are awesome!!!! I LOVE the second shot, it's really beautiful...OK, and the third one too...OK, I love all of them. You're going to have to give me some tips so that I can try this in the spring.
