The Famous Merlion Park in Singapore

Just want to share this photo taken at Merlion Park. One of the famous tourist attraction in Singapore so for those who've been to Singapore, this place might look familiar to you.

It's been a rainy week but luckily the sun showed up this morning. It's a pain getting up at 6am in the morning especially on a Saturday morning but as what they use to say...Golden hours is the best time to take photos. So I thought I'd give it a try.

This is a 5 exposure shot (-4.. -2.. 0.. 2.. 4) merged to HDR using Photomatix. Further adjustments made in Photoshop CS2 to enhance contrast and brightness a bit.

This was taken with sigma 10-20mm lens.

Hi Mark! i would recognize that Merlion anywhere..i always associate it with Singapore..your effort in waking up early was rewarded successfully..this is a nice version of the Merlion..not only that, you managed to give us a view of the city as well and nice cloud to complement the picture..i also like the way you framed this..it is almost floating..tnx for sharing..

ye kidding....this is perhaps Singapore's tourism treasure...(I think so...)...so Its easy to spot it out...and I havent been there yet....btw..the shot is superb....jus gorgeous...thanx for sharing...

This is a wonderful HDR.When i do have money one day i would like to buy Photomatrix.

Very nice. The top of the fountain seems a bit dark compared to the rest, but thats the only thing I see that appears a bit out of place in this shot.
