Default Texas morning rose

Here's a photo I took this morning, of a rose I picked for my wife this morning from my back yard. I think it's my best pp yet.

Working in Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2
Corrected color balance and sharpened.
Copied to new layer cleared first layer and painted black .
Second layer used the background remover and merged layers.
Black paintbrush to blacken the few pixels that were missed.

I like it. Enjoy.

Canon Rebel XT
f/4
1/60
Canon Zoom EF 28-80 USM lens @ 28mm
ISO 400
Spot metering with on camera flash.

It's a beautiful photo, but an even more lovely gesture picking it for your wife.

Thanks everyone. I noticed the dew when I brought it inside and knew I had to shoot it.
