you could make a book and put them all into it ...makes a nice way to show people your work.

fstopmike, I never looked at the Dryandra that way - but you are right it does look like bad hair day. I thought you might be interested in seeing a before photo - as time goes on the individual stamens open up and fall around in seemingly disarray!
